Behind the scenes, our volunteers help create the magic! We sincerely appreciate those who step forward and graciously donate their time. It’s an invaluable contribution and has a positive impact on all that we do.

We always welcome new volunteers to assist behind the scenes, including making phone calls, ushering at concerts, preparing mass mailings, supporting the youth orchestra, and more.

Individual Giving

Donations are tax deductible contributions enabling the Symphony to provide for this season and seasons to come. Ticket sales represent 35% of the Symphony’s revenue, meaning contributions from individuals like you are imperative to continue operations.

Many companies match their employees’ gifts to non-profits. A matching gift could increase your annual donation to the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra by as much as 100%. Some companies will match gifts from retired employees. Please contact your human resources department for information on matching gifts. And thank you for taking this extra step to make your contribution mean even more!

The Sheboygan Symphony does accept gifts of stock. Please contact the Sheboygan Symphony and your investment advisor regarding a gift of stock.

A gift to the Sheboygan Symphony is a unique way to honor the memory of a friend or loved one, to pay tribute to the music lover in your life or to mark a special occasion. All Honorariums and Memorial Gifts are printed in our program booklet.

Making a bequest to the Sheboygan Symphony is an ideal way to make a significant gift, but retain the use of your assets during your lifetime. Through a will, a family can bequeath a specific dollar amount, a percentage of an estate, or a residual value after other gifts have been satisfied. Bequests can be for a designated purpose.

Naming theSheboygan Symphony as beneficiary of a life insurance policy, annuity, or retirement fund [e.g., IRA, 401(k), 403(b)] is a great way to eliminate substantial estate and income tax on these assets at the time of your death.

Legacy gifts of cash, publicly traded securities, or life insurance cash value from a policy that’s no longer needed can be given to the endowment fund at any time, providing tax-saving benefits for you and immediate benefits to the Symphony.

Corporate & Foundation Giving

Join other business leaders in supporting one of the finest cultural institutions in the county. Giving to the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra supports not only the arts but our community as well.

Many corporations, foundations and individuals have been inspired to sponsor performances that enrich the cultural life of our community.

Performance sponsorships offer opportunities to market your business. By underwriting a concert, the sponsor receives promotion on a variety of promotional materials and complimentary seating at the performance.

Book an ad in our professionally designed and printed program booklets, which reach nearly 6,000 audience members during the season. It’s a great way to support a Sheboygan staple while promoting and advertising your business in front of an engaged target audience.
