Daniel Cross is a very active trumpet player, performing a diverse variety of styles. Currently in his fifth season with the Sheboygan Symphony, Daniel greatly enjoys the repertoire programmed by Maestro McMahon, and performing it with his colleagues in the orchestra.
Daniel currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin, and in addition to the Sheboygan Symphony, performs with several Latin and jazz groups in that city. He also substitutes frequently with the Madison Symphony.
He attended Boise State University for his Bachelor’s degree, and earned a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, studying with Professor John Aley. Daniel has studied with members of the San Francisco Symphony, as well as the American Brass Quintet. He has performed in master classes for luminaries in the trumpet world such as Ray Mase and Kevin Cobb, Ryan Anthony, Robert White, and Tine Thing Helseth.
